Compartmental Light
an endless non-linear orchestration

Compartmental Light is an endless, seamless musical composition made up of generative synthetic algorithmic beats which are composed from the stems of four songs, paired with a generative morphing digital painting. The digital painting is composed in real-time from 452 individual images, filtered and weaving periodically at various transparencies. 

The 452 individual images that are loaded into Compartmental Light are also generated via custom algorithms and represent a collection of 452 unique images made for the project. The software includes functionality where you can enjoy each image individually, as well as collectively, in a unique immersive book concept.

At a fundamental level, Compartmental Light is a simple and active synthesis of sound and colour moving through time. 

For a truly interesting experience, the artist recommends running two instances at the same time, one to the left of you and one to the right of you, preferably. This should be considered an optional and tertiary experience, as the single instance is the intended experience.
